About Soggy Acres

jeff-lillyOur Labrador Breeding Program at Soggy Acres, was founded in 1998 with our first puppy, Lily, from Candlewood Kennels.

Shortly after Lily’s arrival we decided to begin breeding Labrador Retrievers with one mission:

“To produce our own line of versatile Labrador Retrievers with an emphasis on chocolate labs.”

officeIn 2004 we constructed our dog kennel facilities. The kennel was built on one of the most dog friendly properties in Southern Wisconsin, with 23 acres, 3 ponds and 5 acres of water. All of our dogs are trained for hunting, with several per year running in hunt tests.

The rolling hills of dense poplar and pine forests allow our dogs to further expand their hunting abilities.

We own and have access to 6 training ponds. The diversity of our properties greatly enhance our ability to train our dogs. We also host training for several pro trainers.
